new member - vegas our favorite vacation
« on: October 27, 2013, 10:16:33 PM »
Saw this site on list of Vegas links.  Wife & I try for a couple trips a year. We are from MN. One of our favorite techniques is to fly to Vegas. Stay a few days and then visit one of the neighboring states. Have toured AZ (Grand Canyon), New Mexico, Utah,Cal, and Oregon.  Then come back to Vegas for few more days before returning home.
Have stayed in several casino hotels - TI, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, GVR, Red Rock M, Wynn, Rampart, Golden Nugget, Paris , Palms , Venetian ...
Planning a trip for first half of December.

Thanks for the responses.  I enjoy video poker and blackjack . My wife plays the slots.  We enjoy several restaurants and some of the buffets.  Like Grotto @ golden nugget , Flame @ el Cortez  California pizza kitchen @ mirage Nove @ palm. And many steak houses
In December, planning nights at Mandalay bay, mirage, Green Valley , and JW Marriott (Rampart).
Always enjoy a show.

Any suggestions for shows during second week of Dec?

NFR starts on Dec 5 --- there will be big but not super big country acts in town.  I'm a little curious about Wynonna Judd but that's about it.

Vegas in December is just so neat.

Welcome!

We like Grotto, especially for lunch.  As far as shows, have you seen the Beatles themed Cirque show LOVE at The Mirage?  Also, Absinthe at Caesars Palace is great, so long as you can handle a fair amount of raunchy humor.

There's a link with discounts for the Cirque shows in the Entertainment section of the forum.  Absinthe tickets can be purchased at the various Tix4Tonight locations in Las Vegas, typically for same-day and next-day seating.  Pass on the VIP option and just get the standard, general admission tickets -- there really aren't any bad seats.

Also - check out Veronic Voices at Bally's = $2.50 with the discount code VPAPER.

An excellent show and a steal at that price.
