Welcome and good luck to you when you go in March.  Hope you leave with lots of dough! :)

Yes, welcome!  I like Four Queens as well.  Have you stayed there before?  I'm asking this because unless you like hearing the Fremont Street noise, you might be better off with a room in the South Tower (by Hotel Registration) but you might hear some noise from the 3rd Street Stage at night (although I haven't noticed it recently -- but maybe that's because I can at times be a sound sleeper and hear nothing).

Thanks for the welcomes all!

We have been visiting Vegas for many years now - started by staying on the strip but once we discovered Downtown we always return there - specifically the Four Queens. Downtown suits our Vegas needs with great VP and easy walking to Casinos (especially at night). The Fremont noise has never been an issue for us.
During the day we  sometimes take the bus to the strip. I always enjoy the Secret Garden, the wildlife at the Flamingo, playing VP at Bellagio & Mandalay Bay - however - we do spend most of our time Downtown.

This coming March trip - I want to visit the Book & Stage at the Cosmo and also definitely eat at Pizza Rock, check out Container Park, and stop by Atomic Liquors.

Welcome!

We were just at Cosmo and if what we walked by was the sports book it's pretty small.

Thanks Mare

I want to try a signature cocktail(probably a Cosmo) - need a VP machine in front of me at a bar - figure the money I feed the VP machine will be offset by the comped cocktail value.

I haven't played at any of the bars and only drank water while I was playing there. I hope someone has some good info for you!

Don't pay for a drink there, that's for sure.  It's something like $15 for a Cosmo.

Book & Stage tends to get crowded at times.  It may not be everyone's scene, but we actually enjoy playing at the Bond bar (with all the flashy LED lights, right up against the strip).  Aside from the mediocre VP paytables and the lack of any kind of real offer from our play (which, your mileage will vary based on posts here), we like the vibe of the place.  We'll likely never give it any serious play, though, as there are too many other appealing options for us in Las Vegas.

Welcome! I did stay at the Four Queens last year and managed to snag their suite-style room, which was very nice. I didn't mind the street noise during the week, but on Fri/Sat, it was a test to sleep. I like the Four Queens and look forward to staying there again soon.
