The thrilling, degenerate surprise double-twist downfall ending of a maybe feel-good story day.

The buffet at T.I. is one of those buffets that looks like it should be good, there's lots of choices, lots of different flavors, but when you really look at it you have a hard time finding something to eat.

These ribs were acceptable, but made me want other, better ribs.

Buffet ribs always seem to disappoint. Great job of reporting once again.

A new day, a new clogged artery. CTUG at Magnolia's, then hit the road to do some match plays.

Coupon run continues! I went to the Mardi Gras - what a dive. Some crackhead loser wanted to get into it with me. I managed to escape, barely, with my $15 handpay.

Ellis Island was good too.

There's nothing better than getting lost and ending up at Rollin' Smoke BBQ just when you are hungry for lunch!

I did some more coupons on the coupon run too.

Made it to the Tropicana and checked in. Room was okay. Pool view, which has some advantages. Some disadvantages too, the fact the it is a pool listen view and there was a rap contest going on.

Got $125 promo chips instead of $75 freeplay, I guess the offers are messed up from the change of ownership.

Far East Elvis was checking in ahead of me.

Nice view!

I did crappy on the stupid promo chips, would rather have had freeplay. I had $30 a day in food, so I went to the Beach Cafe, where they still have not replaced those horrible chairs from last trip.

Dinner was great!!!!

Had comp tickets to Raiding the Geezer Vault (with Leather) and enjoyed that well enough. Played a bit more and called it a night - that was a super-busy long day.

Another day, another dollar. Heading into the last few days of the trip, I had enough budget to nurse things through - but how to actually have fun???

The Trop is really close to Hooters and the Club Tower particularly so - and the MGM too. I headed there and had a really good breakfast sandwich, and did a bit of couponing too.

Then I hit the nickels at the Trop.

Oh how it pains me to play nickels.... four pointies:

You need to submit that Tropicana bad to hotelnightmares.com.   It looks like it should have been in Planet Hollywood in a Jaws themed room.

Here you go, Jenaphir.

What do you do when you have a limited budget? Walk the aisles of Fry's Electronics! Boy, that could be fun, couldn't it. I also hung around near the airport and took some geeky airplane pics. It was all worth it though with the incredible skies that presented themselves as a backdrop for some cool pics.

Day 12. Played the nickel multiplay for 70 minutes and won breakfast. Not too shabby. Then I won on some slot, but can't figure out how it came to what it came to.

Packed up to leave the Tropicana and tear around in the Poon Stang on a few missions.

These guys lost their shirts at blackjack.
