Then I won on some slot, but can't figure out how it came to what it came to.

Easy peasy.

On the "Wild Double Lucky Strike" machine you were playing, you had single bar, single bar, wild.  That would normally pay 20 coins.  But, each of the single bars also contained the "double" symbol, and per the rules of the game as you posted in the pictures, if all three payline symbols are a combination of symbols with the "double" designation and/or there's a wild, it pays 8x.  8*20=160

I went on this crazy road trip to Emerald Island to play a coupon. It didn't go as expected. Man that desert heat gets to you.

I had better luck finding Sam's Town. Because huge.

Do you think the mining guy downtown is the same mining guy as in this vintage picture?

Tonight is a two-fer. Because Friday.

I made the move down to Mandalay Pay. I didn't try the $20 trick, but did try the 'I'm so Charming give me a Free Upgrade trick' which didn't work at all.

Sadly had to return the Poon Stang. I'll miss that beast.

Ate at Hussong's again. If anyone can identify the plate el stuff below, let me know what I had for dinner!

Oh yes, and got my fifth four-to-a-Royal draw of the trip.

Once again, it's a two-fer tonight!

My last full day in Vegas starts. I probably slept better than this guy:

Had breakfast at McDonwald's because its so cheap, but the tv menus stymie me. There are only 500 menu items of which you can see 62 at a time.

First hand of the day boded well, but I decided to head downtown and try to get on a run at Starship Binion's - to play quarters. Shocking, I know.

I used the tram to get from Mandalay Pay to Dickscabular (because lazy) and grabbed the Wax downtown for a fan-o-the-blog meetup.

This guy (on the right) picked his nose for a solid 22 minutes.

Recognize this guy? He's moved from one end of the Four Queens to the other. I like to see if I can get him to call someone a motherfucker.

Had some interesting business at the Nugget, and then dug in to Bonus Poker at Starship Binion's.

Meanwhile, at Starship Binion's... I posed for a picture with the million dollars and won... you guessed it... a cheeseburger!!!! Checked out Mermaid's for the last time too.

Deep fried twinkies anyone?

Is that truly the Flusher in the flesh?

Looking pretty buff there Mr. Flusher, or is that just an example of Jimmy Poon's Photoshop expertise?

Since I'm only 5 hours away from Vegas I was hoping on catching up with you sometime but now I'm afraid you'll beat me up and take my bankroll. And my lunch money.  And my girlfriend.  And however few marbles I have left.

(As an aside, your face has a distinctive hipster look.  I never figured you with a shaven head).
The best, and easiest, way to enforce social distancing is to shower only once a month.

Who else has had the ribs at Benny's BBQ and what did you think of them? I've had them 2 or 3 times and they are just 'okay'.

I managed about $3000 coin in and also had some fun at Fremont.

Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

"No, it was a shirt. Actually, a pretty nice shirt, if you don't watch much Star Trek."

Great line.

Really great report as usual, but the time lag is disorienting. For example, the Mermaids casino has been closed for a month ???

The Star Trek reference was perfect because when the trip began, the original series was still running ;D

My masterplan to spend $2 and take a quick ride south strip... was foiled. Fucking WAX never showed up. You've been warned! Just when you think you have it nailed... :)

He gave us "live" highlights while he was out there.  Now is the full-on, aged, improved version.

Sorry, my bad. Sometimes I forget I'm not reading a live report.

Flusher, congratulations and thanks for a brilliantly written report series. Fewer movie reviews than usual, but I thought it worked for you.

(Maybe I'm thinking of someone else :-[ )
