Anyone else have trouble finding the Lyft/Uber pickup point in Terminal 1? I ended up wandering around rows of cars, like a twit.

Good flight, had an empty seat to myself, got to Luxor, but they didn't have the type of room I'd booked.  Grrrrr.

I'll have some o' the red... and some o' the Throw-up. So, a cheap way to eat for an entire day is to buy a buffet pass for $43 including taxes. How special is that?!

What actually is that red stuff?  Sweet and Sour Sauce?  Gelatin?

And I'm happy that you took what I said about Variance to heart, because it can cause things to end up getting pretty rough.

I think it's official name is 'Redsauce'. Yeah, for the chicken balls or something? ick.

The all-day buffet pass paid big dividends at Excalibur - in the form of lunch. Got the room sorted too, and headed out to the Park.

I wandered outside and wondered why it was so hot - it was 109F!! Now that is HOT.

Took a look at the Park - I found it interesting enough to take a bunch of arty photos of it. But ultimately, it's a way to join the Arena with the Strip (and also the new theatre I guess). Oh yes. And shopping experiences. And dining concepts.

Hit CVS and bought water and the all-important shaving cream. And roasted my way back to home base.

I want to be a hipster.

Here's a helpful video that documents the evolution of the hipster, so you know what to aim for:

Is three buffets in a day too many? Is one?

Dinner at More has never been a good experience, IMHO. Much better for breakfast, apparently.

Day 3! I still had $900 budget left. But I'd played 1600 hands without a quad. That's four cycles.

So here's the thing. Do you stick with the machine (I'd played them all on one machine)? Or do you leave it? Who's to say as soon as you leave it some other shmoe will hit a bunch of quads? And who's to say you won't have the same problem on a new machine??? But you know the machine is a loser! But you also know that it is extremely, extremely rare to go 4 cycles without a quad....

Actually, it seems to be much more common than one might imagine; it happens to me all the time. More rare was going 3186 hands on single line 10/7 DB without a quad. That's 7.4 cycles - and it sucked eggs. I only play that game once in a while so this was spread out across a six-week period and half a dozen machines.
If you place a statistician's head in dry ice and his feet in boiling water, then on the average he is fairly comfortable but his comfort has a large variance.

Most people have more than the average number of legs.

Just call me the "quad kickers" of deuces wild and double bonus poker.

I usually stick with the same machine, but sometimes, and I know it shouldn't matter, I just want to change it up, and will move to a different machine if "my" machine has turned to ice.
