Royal Flusher $1K Scrounge Trip Planning

I tried to eat at the Luxor Pubic House but they basically told me to go away because they'd sent a server home. So I did. Ate at the Nile Deli instead. It wasn't great.

Oh yeah... it only took three days but I got my first quad of the trip!

After picking up the Poon Stang, I headed down to Harrah's to meet up with the one and only Funkhouser, who had a badass comp to Ruth's Chris's Ruthless Steakhouse, which we had plans on using up.

It's a great spot, amazing strip views. Our waiter, Matthew, talked faster than an auctioneer.

Finished up at Luxor, 2400 hands of Jacks and one quad to show for it.

And, the emergency cheese is intact!

Day 4 continued - Bye bye Lucks Whore, hello Smug Nugget. The Paiute smoke shop in between - good prices and good selection, about 60% off tourist prices. I had a daily slot tournaments each of the next three days at the Nugget, but this day was a bust - I didn't even come close.

Took a flyer on my free play at the Nugget and came up relatively big. And I cashed it out, too. Lots of other fun with Funkhouser and my cousins, Dr. Raoul Shiboubou and Gambletron.

I managed to turn the QQ's $75 free play into $50. Well, actually $71.25, and then I played some off. And had $50 to show for it at the end.

I've never played for any length of time in a Party Pit, so I met up with Dr. Raoul and Gambletron and we hit the Plaza Party Pit - I will probably play there again, but not with the particular lippy dealer we had. Her line of 'work me for tips' didn't jive.

I had my first ride on the High Roller - it was pretty cool. Funkhouser had four comp tickets so he generously shared them with me, Dr. Raoul, and Gambletron. What a sweet guy!

I took a bunch of pictures with the Cameron G16 - I think the good ones turned out pretty well, but man, it is hard to avoid reflections in those huge plastic pods. (Who hasn't said THAT after a night of drinking?)

So yeah, we checked out the High Roller. Funkhouser graciously got us tickets on his comp. Did you know that Poon Stangs have no back seat legroom? Yeah, so we put Dr. Raoul back there.

Morning of Day 5. Let's see... first, I fucked the Golden Nugget out of $10 by bringing my own k-cups. Heh heh.

Funkhouser had a $60 comp to use for breakfast, so we tried to eat $60 worth of eggs.

And I went zero for three on LVA match play coupons. Not to worry though, right? Poindexter statistics....

Enjoying the trip report.

I have to ask you though......why did you only do $10 on your two match plays at the Plaza?  The MRB match plays are $25! 

I guess you could say it ended up being a savvy move since you lost them both.

Just curious.

Ok. Now you have me curious..... If the plaza match play coupons weren't from the MRB, where did you find $10 match play coupons??

As a self proclaimed coupon whore, I'd love to get my hands on more match plays!!

I did really well in the Tuesday slot tournament. My score was good enough for 14th the day before - so I was pretty sure I would be in the money ($50).

I gave Funkhouser a lift back to Harrah's, and then took my life in my hands, wandering around East Fremont, getting in and out of the Poon Stang, and working on a photo essay. It was absolutely fun and totally nerve wracking.
