Vegas casino greed is out of control

In light of our current discussions and the seemingly endless stream of fees and cutbacks from the major casino corporations in Vegas...

I'm excitedly awaiting the arrival of pay toilets. CET will probably go first:

"Because our customers asked for them. It will allow us to upgrade our restrooms with LED signage to direct customers to vacant stalls and to actually stock towels in the currently empty dispensers. Toilet paper will still be provided for free, at least until the end of the year, but we're currently reviewing our TP policy across all properties in order to align it with our updated business model designed to enhance the experience of our most valued customers.

"There will also be a two flush limit.

"Seven Stars card holders may use the facilities for half price with no limit on flushes and we're looking into putting in premium toilet paper for our Seven Stars guests. We'll have to install a lock box in every stall. Seven Stars members will swipe their card to unlock it and it will automatically re-lock when the stall door is opened."

Ha...that would be the end of Vegas for me.

Thinking about it... hard to implement. Can't confine to one stall. Could offer a 15 minute code at time of payment at the stall door for an extra charge.

"We're also thinking of adding wireless and MasterPass type payments for those in a hurry to get in...   And maybe pre-purchases good for X visits in Y time. Hotel guests will be able to charge public bathroom visits to their rooms, but we won't be offering them free usage as this would not be in keeping with our current fee policies. Our parking program has proven very successful and we are modeling our pay toilet product on the same platform."

Fortunately, the hotels aren't run by old timers like me or they would have recalled that long ago, some motels had rooms with coin operated televisions.

We have also had numerous complaints about long lines in our facilities, especial during events, and are proud to be the first Las Vegas casino to utilize the ABSO system.  The Automatic Bathroom Stall Opener will give you two initial minutes at which point it will start counting down the last 30 seconds before the door will automatically open.  Additional minutes may be purchased by credit card, at $1 per minute.  Discount coupons will be available at all buffet exits."
