Backed off in a very polite way and even provided a car to take them back to their hotel.

His buddy should have  used  his X-ray vision instead.

I mean, what kind of cover can a guy like that use? How can he not get caught?

I think Hard Rock blew it.  Just having Affleck there would have been worth it in publicity and if he won occasionally the press received would have been worth more from a marketing standpoint for this corporation then the money he might have won.

Just read more on this and I reverse my opinion.  Found out he was spreading 0 to 20,000.  If true that's ridiculous.  He was taking advantage of his celebrity status.  Glad he was backed off.

I always liked this guy and no matter what anyone says, he was a good Daredevil. Spreading 0 to 20,000?? Good for him. Way to punish them, baby! If you're gonna be backed off, may as well get backed off for a reason!

Kudos!!

The D just invited him there - $10,000 hand limit - guaranteed not to get 86'd.

Looks like the D is trying to get some celebrity cred.  Good move on their part.

The article doesn't say what the minimum bet would be with the max bet being 10K.  I would be shocked if they let him spread 500 to 10K at the same table.  20 to 1 spread and no chance of getting 86'd?????????  I would like to find a backer and play that game myself.

Well, if they work the numbers they could tell just about what spread would give him an advantage big enough that he'd want to go there yet small enough to make it worthwhile to have him there.  $2K to $10K, maybe, assuming a .45% house edge and decent pen? You wonder, though, if Ben, being a Hollywood type used to getting his way, wouldn't chafe under any sort of minimum over a hundred, or whatever it takes to keep out the riffraff.

I haven't seen it since it was the Fitz. Yuck. Is the D the kind of place a Hollywood big timer would want to go?

Possibly.  There have been a number of pictures recently of the owner with various TV stars in the downstairs casino.  Its transformation from the Fitz to The D has been a huge change, with the vast majority of the changes for the better.  Andiamo on the 2nd floor is one of the classiest dining experiences I've had, and it's something I look forward to every trip now.

I'll put the place on the list for next trip. Maybe I can Wong in when Ben's on a hot streak, LOL.

Don't most casinos, the larger ones anyway, have high limit or private rooms where a celeb could play?
