I would think that Harrah's would lead the way in drying up room offers......but you just never know.

I would think they are the most dependent on getting players back in the door time and time again through offering free rooms. They have historically been the most generous with room offers, and I think they understand that bodies in beds = $$$ for them, through gaming revenue, dining revenue, shows, etc.

In terms of comping policies, I think CET is actually the smartest in Vegas. I would also think that MGM would stop comping before CET just because MGM tends to offer a more premium product and likely attracts a higher-end clientele overall, who are less sensitive to room rate.

Thanks to resort fees, CET is offering free rooms only to diamond and 7 star players. Platinum, Gold and Tin players (like myself) have to pay 25/day even in comped rooms.

That's a very good point.

Another thought: I've seen where some folks will lease a time share unit or condo (like thru VRBO).  That way you're not under pressure to play where you stay and you don't have to eat restaurant food all the time.   And no resort fees.

The last time friends of mine visited they swapped out their timeshare to book a place here in the SW part of town. We had a nice home cooked dinner in the condo and it worked out well for them. I should note that they weren't here to gamble.
If you place a statistician's head in dry ice and his feet in boiling water, then on the average he is fairly comfortable but his comfort has a large variance.

Most people have more than the average number of legs.

Just call me the "quad kickers" of deuces wild and double bonus poker.
