Greetings to friends I have not talked with in a very long time

Mindbender found his way to this forum thanks to his good friend Sue.  It's been a long couple of years since I have been in contact with some of you. 

As a few of you know, I lost Mrs. Mindbender to cancer almost 3 years ago.  Since then it has been a long and winding road, with some huge  bumps along the way......   Seems like life's road has straightened out and is much more smooth these days.

I lost my wife to cancer 10 years ago -- the world hasn't been the same since, but I've managed to smooth over that feeling of being lost without a compass. I didn't realize it had been that long since hearing from you.

Sorry for both losses.  I went to hug my wife (who is plodding along on her dissertation...2 weeks to go on the deadline...192 pages written) for you.

If you need to feel bossed around or berated as only a wife can do, Mare can definitely fill those shoes.

Again, thank you all for the welcome and for the good wishes.

Haven't posted as on his board as I would like........ I have been wonderfully busy.  A new granddaughter entered the world a few weeks ago and grandpa has been busy helping out where I can. 

I got to be in the delivery room (along with her husban) and was so blessed to watch the little girl I saw being born 28 years ago bring a new little one into the world.  I wish her mom had been there too but she got to see the 1st granddaughter being born 3.5 years ago.
