Sad news.  RIP, Jackie.

+1. I had an opportunity to play 3 seats to his right 2 summers ago, at El Cortez. I didn't know who he was at first till the guy on my right whispered in my ear. He had a guy basically standing behind him for awhile until that guy convinced him that it was time to go and get something to eat. Once he left I heard all of the stories from those at the tables who knew him well. Learned that he lived upstairs in the El Co. Glad that I had a chance to meet/play with, the legend!

I hope that here must be a 2/4 LHE game in heaven. If so then Jackie has pulled up a chair!

Think about Jackie's empire downtown.  It was pretty spectacular in it's own way.

He sells off some properties and without his guidance the properties flounder.  He did a lot of good for downtown.

Yes the days before the mega-resort consortiums.

Just say "no" to resort fees!! And no to any QOD fees.

Yes, it's sad that he has passed away!  What a legend and pioneer he was and what a great help he was to Downtown LV!  R.I.P, Jackie!

As true as this is, back when he owned and operated them they were some of the filthiest shit holes in town. He offered low limits and decent games but didn't spend much money at all maintaining or cleaning his properties.
