Royal Flusher World news
« on: April 04, 2015, 10:56:19 AM »
Welcome to the future of inanity on the web!

I want to post stuff that doesn't really fit into the trip reports so I had Jimmy Poon cobble up a sort of magazine site for news, reviews, gambling tips etc.

It's called Royal Flusher World, mainly because I couldn't think of anything better in the 9 seconds I put into it.

Come by, have a look, like us on Facebook etc etc.

So, I worked up this video for the October trip report. It took a ridiculous amount of time to complete, but it was worth it. Jimmy Poon really knows how to push a mouse around.

Hope you like it!

Some folks have been wondering how I went about putting this together - here's the 'Making Of' backstory.

Nicely done.  I have a Giant Inflatable Penis costume and want to make a Vegas Movie too.  What kind of camera are you using?  Was the video in HD?  Did you resize it?  How big did it end up?

I'll take the giant catcher's mitt cinnamon "roll."

Very entertaining video, Flusher. Thanks for posting.
If you place a statistician's head in dry ice and his feet in boiling water, then on the average he is fairly comfortable but his comfort has a large variance.

Most people have more than the average number of legs.

Just call me the "quad kickers" of deuces wild and double bonus poker.

Hey Flusher, great video!  Thanks for sharing it with us.

And the backstory was fun to read too.

Cheers,
Deanna

In case these were serious questions.... I used various cameras. The money shot by the elevator was on my Cameron G16 (which is a knock-off of the excellent Canon G16) and was indeed filmed in HD. The original footage is longer than what you saw - much, much longer. You should be proud.

Other video came from my piPhone 3.14.

The video ended up being 250MB or so. I uploaded it to youtube and they handle the smallification of it.

I didn't worry about compression or anything, just shoved all the bits and pieces into Lightworks and when it was done exported it to 720p youtube happy format which is H264/MP4 (it says).

Yes.  Very serious.  Thanks.  I was shooting for 15 minutes of completed movie most of which would be from my friend's EOS 6D, but some from other sources.  I'm afraid I'm going to need beefier computer hardware to edit it.  Is there a limit on how big your youtube video file can be?

No, no.  It wasn't me.  My Giant Inflatable Penis costume has never been worn in public....yet.  It's a long story.

I don't know if there is a limit. I have seen where people put up entire TV shows or movies though, they must have been pretty big.

I had a lot of problems with Windows 8.1 throwing up 'out of memory' errors, except task manager showed Lightworks only using about 1GB. (I have 8 GB.) OTOH I don't have a video card in the machine, it uses integrated graphics. So maybe that is sucking the RAM.

I think I'll put a graphics card in and see if that helps.
