Would not make any difference to me as I only drink ice tea. As long as it is still comped I am fine.
Growing old is mandatory.
Growing up is optional.

Good point. I don't drink either but hadn't considered that they'd restrict soft drinks too. Silly as THAT sounds, I wouldn't put it past them...
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
But how much does it cost to knock on wood?

Bottled water and other non-alcoholic beverages may ring up for less money when comped at the bar, but they still qualify as a free drink none the less and a sales ticket is still generated and placed in that empty glass in front of one's machine. If one isn't playing then one doesn't get anything for free. So if the casino implements a policy of requiring a ticket for a drink or not comping drinks at all, I would expect that to include water and non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Although not exactly related, sometime ago, one inside casino bar on FSE -- it might have been Binions -- told me that I would have to pay the same for tap water as bottled if I weren't playing when I asked for a glass of ice water. Maybe if was because of all the street people that come in but I still thought that it sucked. I had been walking around and just wanted to re-hydrate.

If you place a statistician's head in dry ice and his feet in boiling water, then on the average he is fairly comfortable but his comfort has a large variance.

Most people have more than the average number of legs.

Just call me the "quad kickers" of deuces wild and double bonus poker.

I'm drinking about 5-10 Gray Goose's per day there. Seriously can't imagine what that would cost me if they weren't comped; and I don't ever want to find out.

I agree on what my extra cost would be on paying for what my drinks would cost. I will have more on my trip then I ever do at home. No driving so I just enjoy my beverages. Just another thing that could make a difference.
