According to the five o'clock news, they were out along with an additional 700 tickets Derek subsequently offered. They were all ONE way and staying at one of his casinos was not required.

The first 1000 were gone in 2 hours. He added another 1000 in the afternoon and they were gone by 5:30 pm.

From what I've read,those were one way flights.
