Researching for an upcoming trip
« on: April 23, 2011, 12:36:11 AM »
Getting married this weekend and will be on honeymoon in Vegas next week!
I've been doing research, but it never hurts to read around more.
I'm going to start reading asap.

Congrats!  I got engaged in Vegas four years ago (at Mandalay Bay...who gave us a suite upgrade simply because I'd e-mailed ahead of time to tell them I was getting engaged...didn't even ask for anything, just wanted a good view!)

Definitely run your plans by this board -- if you have somewhere you're going or doing, someone may know a way to do it cheaper or better.  The joy of Vegas is that you are expected to use coupons and save money so that you can gamble more of it in the casinos.

...also, you might have info some of us could use.  Welcome to the board...and as Kevin said (even though I'm pretty sure it's not a word), it's a very Vegasy place!   :)

Congratulations! We were married at the Chapel at Treasure Island 9 years ago. If you're looking for a very romantic dinner while you're in Las Vegas I would suggest Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens. Every woman gets a red rose when they enter.
When he said he was from the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms I was hoping he was making a delivery.

Thank you all for the good wishes!

Hugo's Cellar is on my list, but it's great to get reassurance.

Belated congratulations!  I was married out there (at the Chapel of Love :)  Still together after 23 years.

Plan to return at least once a year to remember -- we love having an excuse to go back!
