Hi, Michael aka baccarat_guy here!
« on: April 28, 2011, 05:27:37 PM »
I seem to recall Flip (among a few others) mention this site...

So, I'm here.

My interests are baccarat (mostly big, and macao style midi), dice, fine dining, and anything to do with commercial aviation (especially miles&points), and Old Vegas (especially the Stardust).

I'm also a frequent poster on FlyerTalk and Milepoint.

Cheers! --- Michael

Thanks! That was a really good day.  I was the ONLY person (full table) on the "player-side!"  Woman to my left pushed out around $3k-4K on that hand.....  I faced a natural nine..... (or perhaps, that was the hand before); but a good day, nonetheless.

You just reminded me an occasion, ages ago, when I was holding the shoe at Bally's, in Atlantic City, and had dealt 5 winning hands in a row, parlaying $25 into $800. In the sixth hand, I almost fainted when the dealer declared "The Player shows a natural eight!". But when I turned my cards in despair, he continued: "However, the banker shows a natural nine. Banker wins, nine over eight". Obviously, I paid my commission, grab my chips and ran to the cage, but I've never forgot that "However" is the most important word in baccarat.

Welcome to the site Michael! I kinda wish I knew how to play baccarat. It has always been explained to me as the "easiest" casino game, but somehow, I don't believe that. LOL
