I plan on making my first trip to Vegas in July.  I normally gamble at Twin River in RI or Foxwoods in Conn.  I've been to AC many times, but have never won anything worth speaking of.  I hate flying, but am giving in.  I plan on going in July.  We're taking my 22 yr old, my 25 five yr old and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  Since I have to pay for two rooms, I'm trying to keep it reasonable.  I was thinking of MGM or Monte Carlo.  Not sure how long to wait for the best deals.

Welcome to the site!

:welcome:

Your 20-something kids will LOVE the pool complex at MGM Grand, and July isn't exactly peak time due to the summer heat (as far as room rates go).

I've found some decent online rates for MGM in the past. I'll keep my eyes open for sure.

Definitely call and ask for any specials...write that number down, then call and speak to the player's club (MGM and Monte Carlo = M-Life) and see about a casino rate...write that down...then ask to speak to a host...see if they can improve the offer.  If you are taking a bunch of people of gamblin-age and you have a previous play history at Foxwoods (that I believe has some MGM affiliation right?), you should be able to get at least casino rate.  ...and, with MGM, I don't know if that place is ever truly sold out so your odds are good...especially mid-summer.  Never settle for rack rate!  ...and enjoy your FIRST TRIP...it is definitely a memory we all cherish here.
