Looks neat ($5 video poker anyone?), although the redemption schedule leaves something to be desired.

Fortunately for me, I'm already a "member", and ineligible for this "Loss Rebate" promotion.

No need for me to think and rethink this promo, consider strategy, etc.

Actually, when I think of this promo and the terms to redeem, I can not stop myself from thinking along the lines of "Do they think people are stupid?"

Sure, it will look great on a Billboard along the interstate, and will draw first time visitors.  Than, once inside, they break the news that redeeming it is a challenge that requires a total of 3 visits, and a first day loss to qualify.

I love "Loss Rebate" promotions, and will participate whenever possible.  I don't even mind the 2 installment rebates with 1/2 now, 1/2 next month, since timing can work "OK" on those without being to inconvenient. Visit on the 30th, return on the 2nd.  And I'm definitely not a fan of what EI does with the next day before your fsp in on your card routine.

But this promotion, IMHO, is intentionally misleading to anyone who does not know and understand the terms and conditions before entering the casino.

Of course, if I lived within a 2 hour drive, and had a big family of legal age, I may reconsider it. But not for long.

Seems like an interesting deal, but really, it's far too complicated.  That's probably part of their evil plan though.  Get the ploppies to lose $500 and give 'em a bit of it back right away.  Most first timers are probably not going to be going back 2 more times over the next 6 months to be able to collect all that loss rebate.  Unless they are locals - oh, wait, not eligible if you live in Clark County.

As RT says, it'll look "sexy" on a billboard and attract some people, but really doesn't a good percentage of the Vegas traveling public already have a Palms' card?

Personally, I hate the place and really don't care to set foot in there again!  I can't seem to win anything when I play there. And I've never won a matchplay there. Although, I was considering adding it to our upcoming trip itinerary for the matchplay and this deal:

I'm still considering it, but knowing me I'd turn $25 cash into $40 FSP and the back into $0 cash and $10 cash into $0 on the MP.

Cheers,
Deanna

The $25 for $40 deal is very close to being too good to pass up, especially IF you will also use your match play, and can have some discipline.  I'd take them in a heart beat, if I had a Vegas trip planned.  I used hundreds, OK, over 1000 match play coupons in 2009, on 5-6 trips, and if possible, would still be doing so.  Just the available gaming coupons paid for my 5 trips & 55 nights, expenses, tips, food, etc, and some profit that year.

And, while you're at it, that $40 slot play, even IF you lost it all, would give you the chance to add another $10 cash to your loss for a $15.00 immediate rebate, plus the two future ones, for a total of $50.00 fsp against am actual cash net loss of $45.00.  :)

I currently have 31 different Player Club cards.  Not too many places I have not done a promo in/at. :)

I doubt they're going to count the loss of free slot play $ toward your loss rebate.  The rebate deal is solid as long as you can make it back to vegas for the futures.

Seems to be a great deal for a frequent visitor or a resident of Southern AZ, that is, if you are not a member.
There will never be another Vegas, enough said.
