The first amount is for weekday and Sunday, the second rate is for Fri, Sat.

How much more comfortable are the beds are the Bellagio?

At the Mirage, are the beds in the Deluxe and Tower Deluxe the same?

The Billagio offer comes with a $100 Freeplay and 2 comped buffets. The Mirage offer comes with a $25 Freeplay. Can the MGM Freeplay be used on any slot machine including the Wheel of Fortune progressives?

This is for my mother and sister. They are senior citizens. I do not know whether this should be a consideration.

2 Queen beds

Cost is a factor, but if the Bellagio would be a much better value they would prefer that.

They would be staying for five days. Arrive Wednesday 12.22 and leave Monday 12.27 so they will be there for Christmas.

What is the website that has pictures of LV hotel rooms?

The estimated cost of each including taxes and deducting estimated value of comps.

(Resort fees included with Mirage)

Mirage: $413

Bellagio: $544

A $131 difference. 31.7% more for the Bellagio.

Location is not really an issue. They will have a car.

I have never stayed at either one, but I've read at least one mediocre review of the Mirage, and I can't say I've ever read anything bad about Bellagio.  If the difference over five days is only $130 total, I think I'd strongly lean towards Bellagio.

I don't think the Bellagio rooms have been renovated in quite some time. We booked a fountain view room there a couple years ago on an offer. We also booked at Caesars Palace in the Augustus Tower. Our friends from Massachusetts were coming into town and we had to decide which room to give them. Honestly, we knew they'd be impressed with Bellagio because they had never been to Vegas before, but WE didn't think the room was as nice as Caesars Augustus, so we gave them the Bellagio room.

I have stayed at Mirage this year twice. Once in a regular room and once in a petite suite. LOVED the suite. The regular room was fine -- bed very comfortable, decor very nice (recently renovated). The only thing they can't really do is enlarge the small bathrooms, so you have to deal with a tub/shower combo. That would be the only upgrade from Mirage to Bellagio, in my opinion.

Before I posted this, I was thinking the Bellagio might be worth it for a $100 more.

But why spend it if I am not going to get anything?

The only reason I am leaning towards the Bellagio is the atmosphere might be better for senior citizens.  It seems more relaxed.

Parking access for Mirage is tricky the first time but relatively convenient. Bellagio's entrance is off the Strip, which can be difficult at certain times of day. Both involve a hike to get from parking to the elevators.

I haven't stayed at either place in several years, so I can't comment on room condition. Bellagio's rooms are more elegant and larger, especially the bathrooms. A fountain view room is a special treat that is unmatched by anything you can get at Mirage. I prefer the pool side when staying at Mirage.

Neither casino offers very good games. Bellagio's casino is one of the two or three nicest in Las Vegas. Mirage's is good but not great. Mirage is convenient to Venetian, Caesars, and Wynn, all worth visiting, although none has decent gambling. Bellagio is also close to Caesars and to Paris, which is okay, but is otherwise surrounded by lesser casinos.

I am not sure what trams if any are running currently.

The Mirage has the tram out front that links it to TI.

Bellago has the tram in back (it's a long walk) that links it to City Center and Monte Carlo.

Neither of them have trams that link them to good gaming opportunities.  :propeller:

The Bellagio is my home away from home when I am in Vegas and I like the Bellagio Suites much better but the first time I ever traveled to Vegas I stayed in a Bellagio deluxe room.  The deluxe room is very nice - nothing fancy or spectacular, but very clean and spacious.  You can see photos of the rooms on the Bellagio website.  It is true that the deluxe rooms have not been updated (about three years ago they renovated all of the suites but not the standard rooms) but they are just fine.  The location coupled with the vibe of the hotel itself are the primary selling points, as is the fact that being senior citizens, your mother and sister would feel more secure because you must show a key to security to gain access to the guest elevators.  If a lakeview is available it will be an extra $50 per night so you may not want to go that route - instead, request a pool and garden view, which overlooks the pool area and City Center and is my second favorite view to Lakeview.  The pool area at Bellagio is one of the most beautiful in Vegas and has more of an adult feel to it, as does the entire hotel in general.   The $100 in Freeplay and two free buffets alone put this deal over the Mirage any day of the week.  Friday and Saturday are the most expensive nights of the week to stay at any hotel so for Bellagio you have been given a spectacular rate.  And I would advise them to use those free buffets on the Friday or Saturday evening because that is when they have the gourmet dinner buffet that is normally around $40 a person.  If you do make the reservation, be sure to tell the reservationist that you want the MAIN building, and not the Spa Tower.  The Spa tower elevators are quite a hike from the main entrance.  I admit that I am partial to Bellagio because I love it there so much, but while Mirage is a nice property, it is not even close to Bellagio.  For the minimal amount extra that you will be paying for the Bellagio, you will be giving them an experience that they will remember for a long time to come.

I have stayed at both placed.  Truthfully the rooms are pretty much the same but I guess Im getting old, Not old but not young... I was at the Mirage and I just thought "my god where did all these kids come from.."  thats when I realised they are the 20 somethings and not kids just young adults..... first time in vegas.. drunk and just acting dumb.  I know vegas is the place to have fun and so on... but the Bellagio didnt have so many of these "kids".  Just call me old... I would pay a bit more and not have have so many young people around.  Ok.. before everyone jumps all over me about calling them young and what not.. I am happy to see everyone have fun.. I just dont need the 21, 22, and 23's  staggering into me as Im trying to play black jack, and they yelling at there friend who is 2 feets away.. while carrying their 3 foot tall slushie... LOL
