From the Las Vegas Sun:

Nevada Supreme Court: Dealers can be required to share tips with managers

I wonder if other casinos will follow suit, now?

It's a stacked deck, most likely.

I can see both sides on this one.
On the one hand it is superior service from the dealer that earns the tip.
On the other hand it is superior service from a restaurant server that earns the tip - but the support from the kitchen staff and restaurant staff all form part of that service experience - so there is an example where I believe tips should be shared.

I don't see a right or wrong way but if the dealer gets all of the tips, that should be offset by the amount  of wages and benefits the others earn.

Not that I am Wynn material, anyway, but I would never consider tipping a guy whose main job is 86d me!

I dont know what managers income is compared to dealers.    I would guess tips at the Wynn would be substantial compared to some place like Jerry's Nugget.

Many high end restaurants require tips be shared with other staff.   And thats ok with me.   But Making a Dennys waitress share her measly tips would be a little ridiculous IMO.   So maybe the same unwritten rule here with dealers.

The dealers were making substantially more than pit bosses, their bosses, after tips.
