A judge has ruled that the Hertz Corporation violated Nevada law by identifying the “airport concession recovery fee” as a separate line item in its contracts instead of including it in the base rental price. Consumers who rented cars from the Las Vegas or Reno airports could be entitled to a refund of the airport concession recovery fees they paid, plus interest.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that this is/was the standard practice for all rental companies in Vegas?

I just did a quick search with Budget, and it indeed shows as a separate line item under "fees and taxes"

car 25.22
options 0.00
equipment & services 0.00
protections 0.00

fees & taxes 12.97

fees 10.93
- concession recovery 2.67
- vehicle license 1.49 /day 1.49
- county surcharge 2.00 % 0.50
- STATE SURCHARGE 10.00 % 2.52
- customer facility 3.75 /day 3.75

taxes 2.04

Total $ 38.19

Question: Is that the same as "airport access fee" as shown in Dollar rentals? Different name, same animal?

I have no additional information about this, other than what is on the link provided.

Seems to state that any "award" will be "automatic" to those who are eligible, however, if you are among the "class" described, you may want to re-visit the site periodically to be certain a claim, or opting into the class, is not required, or register if needed.
