Great article. Every time I am downtown I am drawn into Binions, it does have a certain charisma about it.
There will never be another Vegas, enough said.

Nice article, but I never seem to spend much time there.  There isn't much in VP I like and all I ever seem to do at slots, (there or elsewhere), is lose, and quickly.  I used to love the burgers in the center grill but now there is no more counter seating, and the last burger I had, (like a year ago), wasn't good at all.

But the great thing about Downtown is there are plenty of other places to go!  To each their own.

BTW, there are 4 Wheel Poker Deluxe games at the 4 Queens, just to the east of the main bar.
The best, and easiest, way to enforce social distancing is to shower only once a month.

The El Cortez also has that type of wheel poker and so does Sam's Town, although it's not downtown.
If you place a statistician's head in dry ice and his feet in boiling water, then on the average he is fairly comfortable but his comfort has a large variance.

Most people have more than the average number of legs.

Just call me the "quad kickers" of deuces wild and double bonus poker.

Binions Hobo Stew. I always have to get a late night bowl. It reminds me so much of my mothers stew. I love it.

I don't dislike Binion's, but I don't tend to spend a lot of time there.

Edit: I posted about slot payout percentages, but I decided to move that portion of my reply to this members-only post.

I have never tried that Sarah..I will have to check it out. Hope it is not like that darn oxtail soup/stew at the Cal that everyone loves. (But me).

It's not Bonnie, it has big hunks of meat, potatoes and carrots in it. I always get a slice of cornbread with it. They will even pack it up to go so you can take it back to the room.

You're not alone.  I haven't even tried it, but I have absolutely no desire to.

You may want to try Binion's Steakhouse. Good food and not a bad deal if you have the LVA coupon book.

Agreed that the LVA coupon makes the prices better, but we've eaten there a few times and have concluded that for about the same price (LVA coupon aside), we strongly prefer Andiamo at the D.  I appreciate the suggestion, though.
