It wasn't me......I wouldn't give them the pleasure.

The train wreck part sounded a lot like Bob, but I know that Bob wasn't big on the matchplay deal......they pissed me off big time with not only eliminating the matchplays, but sounding so damn casino-like with his edict that the casinos don't want matchplays and neither does he (AC).  Sounds kinda like CET execs giving us resort fees because we demanded them!  LOL, the guy who made TV with the idea of coupon runs, didn't want them anymore.

I'm so glad I tickled Anthony.

Ewwwww.  That just brought up a disturbing image.  :barf:

I didn't even bother with the whole thing.  I still get enough value from the book to buy it but it's nothing like it was in the old days (matchplays).  We find a combo of the MRB with an ACG for each couple in our group, along with some coupon trading, gets us a pretty good amount of savings compared to the cost of the books.

I still read the message boards over there, and the speed has improved a bit, but it's just not like it was in the past.  If I read them once a week, that's about all I need to bother with.  I get much better information here and at another board that I frequent.

I guess it's like Project Runway .... "One day you're in, and the next day, you're out!"

As long as I can still extract more value than the cost of the book, then I'm still in.  I've gotten to the point that I am addicted to coupons and it just seems impossible to enjoy a meal in Vegas without a coupon.  I can probably count on one hand the number of meals we've had in Vegas without a coupon over the past several trips.

Now that I think of it, I may need some kind of support group.  Couponers Anonymous or something.

Cheers,
Deanna

I will make this criticism of Anthony...

It is really stupid to ask for feedback from present/former/potential members and then mock the negative responses.   Was this just an excercise for his amusement or are they seriously looking for ways to make the site better?

Even if their are responses that do "tickle" him its not good business to say that.   He obviously hasn't considered the thought that former members might come back if he made it clear he valued their feedback and would strive to make things better for them.  Even if thats bullshit thats what  a good business will tell the public.   I think thats basic Consumer PR 101.

But, ya know, he is who he is.  You can take him or leave him.   Clearly many people here have made their choice.   :P

Does anyone think that the purveyor of this website would tolerate the speed issues Anthony has?  FOR UPWARDS OF FIVE YEARS???  And there are folks there who will defend him as if he is going to fix the problems sometime soon.

Let's recall, the new site was going to be operational by October.....then November......and now 'sometime later this year'.

Am I still a member there?  Yes, I am.  I still enjoy the newsletter, I admit it.  Do I offer anything of substance on his website?  Absolutely not.  I do go there but not very often anymore thanks to this site.  If I try to open a page there and it takes more than 10 seconds to open, I'm gone.  So you know, I'm not spending much time there.

Wish some more of those posters would come over here.

Yes, what I do not get is why run the poll and give bad-attitude replies to the responses?

Incidentally - I am in India this week on business.....and performance of the LVA is better.  I wonder if the website is hosted off shore in India to save $$$ and that's why it is so slow in the states.

Mr. Flowers is known for threatening to 86 any paying member who dares to complain about his product and/or customer service, so I am not surprised with this kind of attitude.
