Testing!

Kevin, why isn't it allowing my avatar to show???

Fixed!  The "http://" part was in there twice, so it was trying to display "http://http//i134.photobucket.com/albums/q90/Tjean11/sue-avatar.jpg"

Welcome!

Thanks for fixing it, Kevin.  I copied the url for my avatar from my LVA profile and didn't realize you already had the http in the box, so it got in there twice, lol.  My bad.

Now -- why do I have to log in every time?  Is there a way not to have to do this?  I checked "always stay logged in," but it didn't work.

Hi Sue, Mare and Kevin!
Kevin, thanks for the invite! :joy: I even got my aviator to load after the second try....much better than trying for 2 weeks on the other new site!  ;D

Sue-

I'm not sure why it's logging you out.  I just closed my browser completely and re-opened it, and I was still logged in.  Is your browser set to delete cookies when it closes, or are you browsing "InPrivate"?

I'm wondering if perhaps it had to do with me tinkering with your avatar to get it working?  Please let me know if you continue to not be able to stay logged in -- you should be able to.

Apparently it's okay now.  I opened this site this morning and I was still logged on.  Yay!  :)

Is 10 pt the only size we can have for our fonts?
What about color? I can't seem to change any of these things.  :-[

You should be able to change the size and color of your posts from the defaults.

This is what I am getting when I click on the font and font face

size=10pt][/size][/size

I get NO choices!

I'm doing copy and paste & nothing is showing up except the size. The font face is showing
font=Verdana/font
For some reason it won't let me keep the brackets in.

Joyce-

There are (were) no choices for changing the font face -- I just removed that button to avoid any confusion.

You got the color thing working -- your first line is in purple.  It shouldn't be removing brackets of yours, though.  You should be able to type a word or line of text, highlight it, then click the "A" with the up-down arrow next to it to set a size (and change it).

This is an example.
See the image below for how it's coded.

Are you using IE 8 by chance?  It might be related to having to turn on Compatibilty Mode (one time only) so that the text area cooperates with your browser.  Here's directions on how to do that.  (Don't do it while you're composing a message, as you'll lose what you were typing.)
