Remember the ACG $25 Match Play and LVA $50 for $40 deals at Sahara?  Sadly, I don't think we'll see anything like those at SLS.  On the other hand Cosmo had the fantastic $100 rebate deal and they're going for the same hipster crowd....so they could surprise.

That'd be pretty awesome if they do something similar.  They will likely have to do something to get folks to play there once the "new" wears off...

I'll be visiting in a few weeks.

I was sad to see the Sahara go so its going to be hard to be fair when judging the new property.    I hope they present a player friendly atmosphere but I'm doubting that very much.  Seems like player development is an afterthought for most newer resorts.

PJ I agree with you. Most of these new places cater to people who like to "be seen".  It's glamour and glitz.  Maybe I just am getting to old for the "new" Vegas, but still enjoy the drive to places a lot.
There will never be another Vegas, enough said.

I agree with most everything said here......however, for quarter vp players, the Sahara was truly a desert.

It was old.  It was worn.  BUT, they had some coupons that we all loved to play!  Without the coupons, they are going to need to give players a reason to go there......it's not exactly walking distance from anywhere other than the Strat on a hot August afternoon, that's for sure.

Like everyone else, we'll go there next month just to see the place.  But if there is not a good gambling reason to go back, why would we?

Hoping they are smarter than the average strip casino game providers.

  GOOD LUCK!!
If you place a statistician's head in dry ice and his feet in boiling water, then on the average he is fairly comfortable but his comfort has a large variance.

That is odd. I don't know what to think. Maybe a Baymont Inn on hallucinogens.

I do...  :barf: BLECH!

Wow, that has to be the ugliest and most tasteless design I have ever seen. I do like the glasses on top of the not-free waste-of-precious-limited-space refrigerator.

Maybe they were targeting visitors from Tokyo. To them, it would be a luxury suite with room for six. :P

Did I mention that I hated it, yet?  :D

P.S. I like the safe.

"So conveniently portable. No need to break it open now. Take it with and open at your earliest convenience! We store it in a closed drawer so that no one will actually notice it's gone until they want to retrieve something from it -- giving you extra time to get away! Some models may be attached to the bottom of the drawer -- and we apologize in advance for that -- but it really takes very little effort to break it free of the pressed board, so your evening's outing is still sure to be chocked full of fun and profit!"

That may be the worst designed room I've ever seen. And it looks like it's about 250 square feet. Horrible.

    Don't forget the bed!  I wonder if there's a wall switch to turn them off to sleep? They should attach the bed lights to an alarm clock that turns the bed on when it's time to get up.
